Big Things Growing at the Garden: New Upgrades & Upcoming Celebration!

There’s a lot happening at the Grow & Learn Community Garden, and we’re excited to share the progress we’ve been making thanks to the hard work of volunteers, partners, and our community.

Over the past several weeks, the garden has been steadily transforming with several meaningful upgrades designed to make the space more efficient, sustainable, and enjoyable for everyone who visits and works in it.

🌱 New Shed Installed

A new shed has been added to help us better organize tools, supplies, and equipment. This will make daily garden operations smoother and keep everything we need right where we need it.

💧 Expanded Water Access

We’ve upgraded from a single water hydrant to multiple hydrants placed throughout the garden. This change has already made a huge difference in how easily we can water beds and maintain healthy plants without dragging hoses across the entire space.

♻️ New Compost System

A new composting system is now in place, helping us turn organic waste into rich, nutrient-dense soil for future planting. This is a big step toward improving soil health and building a more sustainable growing system.

🪵 New Garden Bed Frames

We’ve also begun installing new, improved bed framing throughout the garden. These updates will help us expand planting areas and create a more organized layout for current and future growers.

We’re thrilled to invite the community to celebrate all of these improvements with us!

We’ll be hosting a ribbon cutting at 4:30 PM, along with an open house where you can walk through the garden, see all the new upgrades up close, and learn more about what’s ahead for the season.

Come celebrate with us, see what’s been growing behind the scenes, and help us mark this exciting moment for the garden community. Light refreshments will be available while they last.
